how to Get Here
The Beach is serviced by one of the longest tram lines in North America, and is a short bus ride (or moderate walk) from the Toronto subway system. The Beach is also the eastern termination point for the Martin Goodman recreational trail, for those who prefer urban hiking or using a bicycle.
We’re also close to the Don Valley Parkway, and Lakeshore Boulevard terminates at The Beach. There is ample parking, but it tends to fill up very quickly, especially on summer weekends.
Recommended: use an online navigation service like Google Maps to get details on your preferred route.
Public Transit (TTC)
From downtown: take the 501 streetcar (tram) east. There are several stops in the Beach. Kingston Road, Bellefair Avenue, Glen Manor Drive, and Beech Avenue are all popular stops.
From the subway: travel to Main station, then take the 64 Bus to Queen Street. Note that to make the reverse trip, the northbound stop is on Hambly Avenue.
Martin Goodman Trail
From the downtown waterfront to the Beach, it’s about ten kilometres along the Martin Goodman Trail to the Beach, mostly on protected recreational paths set away from the roads. There are a number of Bikeshare stations throughout the Beach.
By car
From the north: take the Don Valley Parkway south to Lakeshore Boulevard, then head east on Lakeshore.
From the west: Take Lakeshore Boulevard.
From the east: Take Kingston Road to Woodbine, or stay on it until it becomes Eastern Avenue.
Parking
There is parking close to the boardwalk, but if you want to continue into the heart of the Beach, continue north when Lakeshore turns into Woodbine, then continue along Queen Street. There are several Green P parking lots with EV charging throughout the Beach, as well as some street parking.
